Cantor Gaming recently unveiled their remodeled Venetian Race and Sports Book. The audiovisual aspects of this space were designed and integrated by McCann Systems. This 118 seat Race and Sports Book boasts the latest in high definition audiovisual technology and a new approach to the typical Sports and Race Book.
The facility includes a 10’ tall by 100’ wide Sports Screen. The LED wall is built on a radius and delivers uncompromised image resolution, engaging the viewer in the event. The LED modules and cabinets were custom made; each cabinet fits precisely into the LED wall cavity, the result is captivating video with breathtaking clarity and color reproduction.
The hardware used for the video mapping and windowing accounts for each pixel on the wall, a native 720p HD signal is routed to the LED wall using a pixel to pixel replication process. The wall consists of 5.5 million LED pixels and is one of the largest 4mm black chip LED screens in existence. The black chip LED screen is capable of showing 5 feature sporting events with odds or up to 42 independent sporting events simultaneously.
The client can choose from multiple layout configurations, via a Crestron control system, that suits the needs of the days events. Any sporting event can be routed to any of the window areas on the screen. Because the screen is made up of LED, the video wall can be custom arranged by dragging and dropping different video sizes to build any number of custom configurations. The high definition screen delivers a bright, crystal clear, high contrast image capable of 24/7 operation with minimal maintenance and low cost of ownership.
The Race Screen uses Christie HD 18k’s which are projected onto a custom surface that measures 10’ tall by 30’ wide and operates independently from the Sports Screen. The Race Screen uses a video window layout system that allows multiple images to be configured on the fly, so any combination of events can be displayed on the video wall simultaneously.
As you enter the Sports and Race book you are first greeted by a column, wrapped in 4mm LED boards, displaying odds for feature sporting events. The LED column is 50” X 131” tall including over 786,400 pixels.
