The ornate Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas renovated its Race and Sports Book club in February — doubling its space and decking it out with five 90-inch LCD screens, 23 video poker machines and a handful of VIP gaming pits with 65-inch HDTVs.
Come August, gamblers can blow their dough on Olympic basketball, golf and track-and-field sports, while budding betters can learn the tricks of the trade during an introductory seminar with casino experts.
