Want a funky, Zika-free way to celebrate the Olympics?
Forget Rio and head over to dry, hot Las Vegas, where mosquitoes are sparse and debauchery is plenty.
Better yet, thanks to an amendment passed in February by the Nevada Gaming Control, it’s legal again to bet on the Olympics in Las Vegas after 15 years.
And with new sleek haunts popping up on the strip, there’s never been a better time to live like an all-star in Sin City.
The ornate Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas renovated its Race and Sports Book club in February — doubling its space and decking it out with five 90-inch LCD screens, 23 video poker machines and a handful of VIP gaming pits with 65-inch HDTVs.
Come August, gamblers can blow their dough on Olympic basketball, golf and track-and-field sports, while budding betters can learn the tricks of the trade during an introductory seminar with casino experts.
