As part of the Central Park Conservancy’s revitalization of Central Park’s North End, the new Davis Center is a bold reconnection of nature, recreation, and community. The vision was to create a modern audiovisual digital signage system that would welcome visitors and provide them with park information and upcoming events.
The Conservancy required a versatile visual system that would provide visitors with branded information and updates about the park and events. The technology needed to be high-impact without disrupting the center’s design integrity and architecture.
Working closely with our trusted partners at AVCT, McCann delivered and installed two 2×4 ultra-narrow bezel video walls. Each wall consists of 8 commercial-grade displays, calibrated for brightness uniformity and 24/7 operation. The content management system allows city employees to easily add or remove content, as well as update the schedule for when the content should play.
The digital signage video walls at the Davis Center blend technology with the mission of the Conservancy- educating visitors about upcoming events and how to get involved, while honoring the surrounding natural environment and architecture.
