Central Connecticut State University partnered with McCann Systems to create an immersive teaching and learning environment inside the Elihu Burritt Library. Powered by McCann’s Proscenium solution, this innovative deployment blends in-person and online engagement to support the university’s evolving academic needs.
McCann has previously renovated multiple classrooms across CCSU’s campus, but this integration gets them the “immersive classroom of the future” they were looking for. The system integrates 17 high-resolution cameras, spatial audio, and interactive displays, ensuring faculty can connect meaningfully with both on-site and remote students. Far-end participants benefit from lifelike engagement, while instructors gain intuitive tools to teach and collaborate from anywhere.
By combining advanced AV technology with a focus on accessibility and connection, McCann helped CCSU take hybrid learning to the next level, empowering both students and faculty in a modern, equitable learning environment.
