McCann Systems was trusted to deliver a comprehensive audiovisual deployment across a range of meeting, collaboration, and common spaces to NewLeaf’s new Lab & Research Headquarters. The project included huddle rooms, conference rooms, a divisible training environment, executive spaces, and shared amenity areas, all designed to support a consistent and scalable Microsoft Teams-based user experience.
Across all primary meeting spaces, McCann standardized a single-screen conferencing approach centered on Mac Mini’s running the Microsoft Teams platform. USB-connected conferencing bars were deployed to provide integrated audio and video, with all user interaction occurring directly through the Teams interface. This approach simplifies operation while maintaining a consistent experience across rooms of varying sizes.
Huddle and conference rooms were designed for simplicity and reliability, each equipped with 4K displays, USB conferencing bars, and room scheduling panels integrated with Microsoft 365. A dedicated “War Room” extends this standardized approach while introducing flexibility for local collaboration. In addition to the primary conferencing display, infrastructure was put in place to support future side-wall displays for small group presentations. This allows the space to evolve without requiring significant rework.
The centerpiece of the deployment is a divisible conference and training room, designed to operate as either two independent spaces or a combined large-format environment. The larger room utilizes a high-brightness laser projection system paired with a fixed screen, while the adjacent room features a 75” display for standalone use or overflow.
Additional spaces, including the lobby, CEO office, and café, were equipped with display systems to support digital signage and live content playback, with additional owner-furnished sources and McCann providing installation and system integration. This ProAV deployment at NewLeaf’s new facility puts science at the center so that they can continue to develop PPFM technologies that help growers drive yield in a more sustainable way.
