At Brigham and Women’s Hospital, a member of Mass General Brigham, McCann Systems implemented a targeted audiovisual solution within the Chair and Co-Chair of Medicine offices, supporting both immediate visualization needs and future system expansion.
In the Chair of Medicine’s office, McCann furnished and installed a PLV-4 Panorama 3 display solution using LiquidView virtual windows. The LiquidView solution includes three fully configured media players and three window casings, designed to deliver an immersive, high-resolution environment. Equipment was integrated into the room’s architecture millwork, with media players housed on shelving inside the credenza to maintain a clean and unobtrusive installation.
McCann coordinated closely with the general contractor, who provided backboxes, conduits, pathways, and on-site modifications. McCann furnished and installed all AV cabling, including HDMI signal extension via transmitters and receivers. The installation required a plumb and flat wall surface to ensure proper alignment and mounting of the display system.
In the Co-Chair of Medicine’s office, McCann deployed low-voltage infrastructure to support a future SLV-4 Vista 1 display solution. This included cable pathways, signal extension provisions, and infrastructure to accommodate a future media player and display installation.
The LiquidView digital windows, which improve patient experience and well-being in sterile or windowless hospital environments, utilize media players that are delivered pre-configured and connected via WI-FI or hardwired network to enable real-time content updates. This allows displayed content to adjust dynamically based on time of day or user needs, without requiring complex user interactions. This installation provides Brigham and Women’s Hospital with a reliable, integrated LiquidView installation, creating a calming, immersive view of nature, and UCC tools that supports executive communication, while establishing infrastructure for future system expansion.
