McCann Systems, a well-established commercial audiovisual design-build firm, is seeking a motivated Field Applications Engineer (FAE) to join our New Jersey/New York office.

Job Description
The preferred candidate will have a technical background in the audiovisual industry, strong leadership and customer interaction skills. Candidates must have the ability to trouble-shoot complex audio, video, and control system problems and have familiarity with major brands of audiovisual systems and components. The successful candidate must be a hard working team player, computer proficient, have a valid drivers’ license and maintain a clean driving record. On the job and formal training will provide a path to unlimited growth potential within this fast growing company and will be solely dependent on your hard work and determination to achieve success. Candidates must be open to travel and overtime as needed.
Job Requirements:
- 4+ years commercial experience with audiovisual equipment, products, and systems is required
- Must be highly skilled in troubleshooting, configuration, integration and testing of video conferencing, audio visual equipment (video conferencing, multimedia, audiovisual, projection systems, displays, cameras, microphone, fiber equipment, and IP networks in support of videoconferencing and A/V equipment.
- Proficient in writing and troubleshooting audio DSP files.
- Provide technical expertise involved in the integration and operation of AV equipment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable, well organized and detail oriented
- Possess a passion for learning and acquiring new skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in projector blending, twist and multi-projector configuration a plus
Certifications that are a big plus:
Crestron, Biamp, Cisco (video), Polycom (video or audio DSP), or other relevant certifications,
AVIXA CTS, CTS-I
