The new corporate audiovisual technology buildout at 340 Madison Avenue belongs to a world-leading global financial services firm-one that pays strict attention to detail. When planning an audiovisual remodel, it helps to have an AV integrator that collaborates well with others. In this case, McCann Systems worked with the client themselves, two general contractors, two architects of record, and a separate engineering group to achieve optimal results.
340 Madison Avenue – Video Tour
The successful project is architecturally pleasing, and all of the functional components are completely hidden from view. For example, the featured boardroom boasts a 111” 16:9 LED wall, 10” touch panel with custom user interface, scheduling panel tied into the client’s Microsoft Outlook system, Cisco video teleconferencing Pro P60, ten amplified ceiling speakers, three strategically placed Shure microphones with Biamp DSP, and a half rack of equipment hidden in a custom millwork credenza. The only thing you can see are the screens as intended.
340 Madison is a futureproofed worksite that shows AV technology can be tied neatly into the architecture itself. The boardroom also features eight small conference spaces, two medium conference spaces, eight huddle spaces, one large conference space, lobby digital signage, digital wayfinding, sound masking, a 50-seat divide, and a combine multi-purpose room. All are tied to the existing audiovisual standards set by the client.
