At One SoHo Square, one sleek, modern tower seamlessly fuses two historic lofts in Manhattan’s thriving SoHo neighborhood. At the hub of a major commercial development boom, One SoHo Square creates a unique experience to attract visitors and tenants. An ultramodern two-story lobby boasts a stunning 4mm LED videowall to communicate the values and culture of its corporate and luxury retail tenants.
One SoHo Square is the newest addition to this trendy New York City neighborhood’s commercial workspace boom. Fusing two historic lofts into one ultramodern office space, it boasts amenities that today’s dynamic workforce seeks out. The One SoHo Square Lobby Experience features a massive LED videowall to further entice visitors and tenants with high definition imagery to communicate and entertain.
An 12’ high x 20’ wide 4mm LED wall creates an impact for anyone entering or passing the space. The videowall is designed to deliver rich, high-resolution images from a wide viewing angle using direct view LED technology. With the lobby’s expanded window structures and high ambient light, the technology provides crystal clear vibrant details at maximum brightness. The custom videowall provides the greatest optical impact from any approach and time of day.
In order to maximize One Soho’s investment, McCann Systems partnered EUX Media to creates stunning and engaging content for the wall. This dynamic content, created by award winning special effects artists, truly showcases the power of the videowall.
McCann Systems worked closely with the client’s architectural team to seamlessly fuse two pre-war lofts through one ultramodern space at One SoHo Square. To keep with the desired aesthetic, McCann’s team was tasked with integrating this massive digital mural directly onto the space’s shallow elevator shaft.
This high-profile lobby experience relies heavily on the integration of the videowall into the overall environment created by the client’s interior design team.
To complement the sleek aesthetic and simple lines of the lobby, McCann Systems partnered with a mounting company that could provide a very low profile yet durable solution. Set in the middle of this bustling lobby, the videowall structure is viewable from all angles – mounting, power, and content management are discreetly concealed from view.
Advancements in LED technology provide low cost of maintenance and little to no downtime, but precautionary measures are still integrated in this heavily trafficked client and tenant-facing space. Content playback and system health is monitored remotely, and all LED cabinets are front serviceable for efficient serviceability.
Companies keep their workforce engaged and increase productivity through inspired environments. Corporate occupiers are increasingly focused on how the workplace experience can help attract, engage, and retain resources. The One SoHo Square Lobby Experience inspires employees of some of the country’s most successful brands.
Aetna, a U.S. based managed health care insurance provider with almost fifty thousand employees across the country, signed a lease for 145,000 square feet to accommodate forecasted regional growth.
“We are combining multiple existing locations into one updated space in New York City [and] have signed a lease at One SoHo Square,” says an Aetna spokesperson. “This will not impact employee headcount in the area; in fact, we expect job growth in the businesses that will be located in the new space.”
Global cosmetics company, MAC, has leased 86,000 square feet across four floors of the building. Other tenants include designer eyewear leader Warby Parker and online beauty conglomerate Glossier, with Trader Joe’s to open a 19,000 square foot storefront on the ground floor.
