Reflecting on a Year of Supporting Education, Communities, and Employees

At McCann Systems, community involvement isn’t just a corporate initiative—it’s woven into the fabric of who we are. As we reflect on 2024, we’re grateful for the opportunities we’ve had to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others, staying true to our “McCann Cares” ethos. We strive to live up to the culture of caring every year, not only within our company community but also in the communities in which we operate and those of our clients. Here are a few highlights from this past year!

Supporting Future Innovation

This year, our commitment to fostering the next generation of technology leaders reached new heights through our STEM Scholarship program. Recognizing exceptional talent and potential, we expanded our support to three outstanding students pursuing careers in technology and engineering. The program awarded $1500 scholarships to Kaitlyn Harrington, a dedicated Computer Science major at Villanova University who plans to double major in Creative Writing and teaches coding to younger students; Eric Sisson from Mississippi State University, an aspiring Electrical Engineering student working with power transmission substations; and Catherine Xiang from Stanford University, who is pursuing advanced studies in Mechanical Engineering and has contributed to autonomous public transport systems in Hong Kong.

Kids at Heart, Community at Core

October marked a significant milestone with our inaugural Kids at Heart Charity Challenge at Sterling National Country Club in Massachusetts. The event raised over $20,000 for Boston Children’s Hospital’s Extraordinary Needs Fund and featured key sponsors like Crestron and Sony. The day featured a friendly golf competition, live music, premium dining, and special challenges like “Break the Glass.” A highlight was the live auction featuring exclusive sports experiences with the Red Sox, Patriots, and Celtics, along with luxury golf packages at prestigious courses, including Metedeconk National, Medalist, Oak Hill Country Club, Vesper Country Club, and Hopkinton Country Club.

“With rising costs and lower insurance reimbursements, the funds raised through the McCann Kids at Heart Charity Challenge will have a direct, meaningful impact, allowing families to focus on what matters most—their child’s healing,” noted Hillary Muntz, Development Officer at Boston Children’s Hospital.

Building on our partnership with Boston Children’s Hospital, McCann also participated in the BCH Corporate Cup, joining other corporate partners in a friendly competition to support the hospital’s mission. This multi-sport event brought together companies from across the region to raise funds and awareness for pediatric healthcare initiatives.

Caring for Our Own

The McCann Cares philosophy extends beyond external initiatives to encompass our internal community. Throughout 2024, we’ve strengthened our commitment to employee well-being through enhanced professional development opportunities, flexible work arrangements, and collaborative team-building activities. Our approach recognizes that a supportive workplace culture is essential for fostering innovation and excellence in everything we do.

“McCann’s community involvement speaks to our fundamental belief that success in business and positive community impact go hand in hand,” says Matt Wilson, Director of Marketing at McCann Systems. “Whether it’s supporting STEM education, helping families in need, or fostering a supportive workplace environment, we’re committed to making a real difference in the communities we serve.”

As we look toward 2025, we remain dedicated to our mission of creating positive change through meaningful action. While we’re proud of our impact, we recognize that there’s always more work to be done. We’re grateful to our employees, partners, and community members who help make these initiatives possible, and we look forward to continuing our journey of giving back in the years to come.
