The number one overall investment broker provides trading services for over 11 million client accounts. So, when they were outfitting their new headquarters in the New York metropolitan area, they relied on McCann Systems to provide flawless audiovisual integration.

With over $1 million of installed Cisco products alone, 70 Hudson Street boasts easy to use videoconferencing solutions in nearly every meeting space, common area, and executive office.

This unified communications installation, featuring over 11 miles of cabling, includes 23 medium conference rooms, four large conference rooms, and an XL conference space. Thirteen Huddle Spaces, where team members and clients can casually walk up and use a Cisco Webex Board, are scattered throughout high-traffic areas. In addition, the client requested Mobbing Tables, videoconferencing solutions built into standing spaces for impromptu meetings.

AV Integration at 70 Hudson Street

The 9th floor is built around a large Town Hall area, which McCann Systems designed and built two matching 1.9mm Unilumin UPanelS LED video walls that are over 12 feet across each.

Too many people for a Town Hall meeting? Not a problem–McCann Systems also integrated a projector with a ceiling lift and retractable screen to increase the presentation area by 50%.

In addition, McCann Systems created a divisible multi-purpose room with five cameras, ceiling pendant speakers, Sony projectors, lecterns bursting with technology, a Crestron control system, and floor boxes for connectivity throughout. Training rooms flank these common spaces, featuring the same Biamp audio DSP throughout the building, along with matching projectors, displays, lecterns, and controls.

Also on campus is a Technology Lab where tech services can test AV and IT gear. The “Gaming Social” area by 8th floor reception lets team members play and socialize on two giant displays. A Yoga room and future fitness center look great with multiple displays, JBL ceiling speakers, microphones, and smart input plates that allow instructors or users to connect to the hardware. The security and command center features six 65″ Samsung displays in videowall formation, Crestron control and switching, and allows for inputs from multiple PCs and live sources. Breakout rooms, interview rooms, and special executive offices show off multiple displays and smooth videoconferencing packages.

In all, over 150 Crestron schedulers were integrated into the client’s routine to help keep all of these tech-heavy rooms available to employees. A distributed signage display system drives content (corporate signage, live data, and cable TV) to over 40 additional Samsung displays to assist in sharing information and wayfinding. McCann Systems was able to design and build this system top-to-bottom for the client and handle a safe and secure installation.
